A Fan ID is a document that identifies visitors at sports events in Russia.
New Fan ID Law 2021
Soon the Fan ID will be permanently present in the life of sports fans. The State Duma passed a law on the Fan ID in the first reading. Now only a ticket will not be enough to attend sporting events. The full list of events, where the Fan ID will be obligatory, is being discussed by the legislators.
Russia is the third country where a Fan ID will be required. First mandatory identification of spectators was introduced in Italy and then in Turkey.
Registration
It will be possible to issue a document on the portal of Gosuslugi or fan-id.ru website. If you already have a Fan ID, you will likely need to re-register it. In 2021, during the European Championships in St.Petersburg Fan IDs issued for the 2018 World Cup did not work.
